When it comes to a suburban area where residents can work, play, exercise and enjoy an evening out, the stats reflect that the Beaumont area has those bases covered. With a blend of high-end homes, condos and townhomes built in the 1990s and 2000s, it was the last area to be developed along New Circle Road. And as a product of recent times, it is a definitive example of mixed use.
Beaumont Circle is home to a bevy of office buildings, hotels, banks, doctors’ offices, a library and a voluminous Kroger. The attractive outdoor amphitheater MoonDance at Midnight Pass holds several free, family-friendly music events under an open sky each week during the warmer months, and a large state-of-the-art YMCA offers classes and activities all year long. Residents can walk or bike miles of safe and clean sidewalks, and the 23-acre park Beaumont Preserve has additional trails running through it.
“It’s a very active area – you always see people out and about, whether it’s on trails, riding on bikes, walking around the block,” said resident Tracy Colon. “We are geographically located in a great area, close to the Y, the library and grocery shopping. And we love our school system here.”
With one of the consistently highest-achieving elementary schools in the state, Beaumont is a magnet for families with young children, many of whom choose the area for its public schools.
Dining options are many in Beaumont. It’s not unusual to see a long line snaking from the register at Sahara Mediterranean Cuisine, one of several independently owned restaurants, which includes other popular choices like AZUR Restaurant & Patio, Zen Sushi & Sake Bar and Bru Burger.
As the area continues to grow, so does the traffic, which is currently under study to explore possible solutions.
