Buffalo Trace is the most complex of the bourbon distilleries, producing bourbon, rye, vodka, liqueurs and even bitters; it also has the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating bourbon distillery, due to receiving one of the few operating licenses offered during prohibition. They also must be doing something right with their tour – they celebrated their millionth visitor in August of this year.

National Historic Landmark Tour: An educational and informative tour that focuses on the buildings, architecture, history and a look at how the distillery’s National Historic Landmark distinction came about.
Bourbon Barrel Tour: A focus on the specifications and history of the barrels, the different ways they age and what happens to them when they can no longer be used for bourbon.
Ghost Tour: A chance to learn about the spirits rumored to reside at the distillery, which has been featured on the popular TV show “Ghost Hunters.”
