District Sport & Tap, the first part of this two-sided sports bar/ music venue/ casual restaurant, opened in September 2016, with Big Whiskey opening its doors in February 2017.
Located in the spot formerly occupied by Saddle Ridge in the shopping center on the corner of South Broadway and Virginia avenues, the bar has a decidedly college-crowd slant. District Sport & Tap boasts a more relaxed ambiance, with handmade burgers and wings, 30 beers on tap, trivia, dart boards, pool tables and more. Big Whiskey is a more high energy party venue, with live country, rock and pop music; pool tables and video games; giant sized drinks; and what promoters call the "biggest Happy Hour push in town."
Both spots feature no shortage of drink specials and plenty of screens for game-watching.
