Why would I send you to a cash-only, long line, un-hip, sell-out-early doughnut shop? Because of the deep-fried beauty that is its glazed doughnut. This baby is not your perfectly-round glazed doughnut. In fact, it’s kinda on the ugly side. But take one bite, and all doubt will melt away. I hear other bakery items are sold here, but I’m not sure I believe it. This is a no-frills, old-school doughnut joint: glazed, cake, cinnamon rolls, fritters, Danishes and cream horns. A true Lexington original, and a slice of the past I’m happy still exists.
