The public is invited to share their ideas on how Lexington sould grow and prosper. As part of the 2012 Comprehensive Plan update, several strategies are being considered that will enable Lexington to grow without disturbing its existing farmland, according to a press release.
The strategies include:
• broadening options for infill and redevelopment
• protecting existing neighborhoods and designing exceptional new ones
• identifying areas that need specialized planning
Staff from LFUCG Division of Planning will lead two public input meetings with identical formats at the following times:
7- 8:30 p.m. Aug. 14, Tates Creek Golf Course Ballroom (1400 Gainesway Dr.).
7 - 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15, Northside Branch, Lexington Public Library (1733 Russell Cave Rd.).
Planning staff will be on hand to answer questions about strategies for the 2012 Comprehensive Plan update. Anyone not able to attend the meeting may submit comments by e-mail at 2012CompPlan@lexingtonky.gov.
