The Kentucky Bourbon Trail, an association of Kentucky bourbon distilleries, has been featured as one of the top 10 spring destinations by the magazine National Geographic Traveler, which recently released their list of "Best Spring Trips for 2013."
"A drive along the Bourbon Trail provides glimpses of white-water rapids and grazing Thoroughbreds—both great for riding—and even whiffs of mint growing wild along the roadsides, lending the landscape the aroma of a perfect julep," the editors write in the Kentucky Bourbon Trail's entry.
Other destination include the Holi Festival in Jaipur, India, and the Danube Delta in Romania. Click here to see the entire list.
The Kentucky Bourbon Trail includes seven distilleries: Town Branch, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, Wild Turkey, Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, and Heaven Hill.
