Lexington, KY. - Southland Christian Church will host a public meeting this evening at the Lexington Mall property on Richmond Road to hear from the public in the wake of the church's agreement to purchase the site from Saul Properties.
Final agreement on the deal is pending a 60-day "due diligence" review. That clock began ticking on Saturday, July 3.
Church officials have declined to disclose the financial details of the transaction.
In a press release, church officials said the public meeting is being held to "solicit input from area merchants, residents, and other interested parties regarding the needs of the community, as well as gather ideas about site and building design for their future campus on the property."
The meeting is to take place from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
