The Kentucky Authority for Educational Television, the governing board of KET, has named Shae Hopkins as the new executive director and CEO of KET, effective January 1, 2010. Hopkins will be the fourth leader of KET in its 41-year history, succeeding Malcolm Wall, who is retiring following a 40-year career in public television.
J. Paul Brophy Jr. has been named executive director in Kentucky and Southwest Ohio by UnitedHealthcare.
Brophy is responsible for more 265,000 UnitedHealthcare members in the state of Kentucky.
Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, he served as president and general manager for CIGNA Healthcare, Ohio.
The Bank of Lexington is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees to their team: Ginger Clay, Tom Ocelli and Ryan Key.
Clay is the newest customer service representative, and Key serves as the company's new AVP-Lending.
Tophan Kulkriwes has joined American Founders Bank as assistant vice president/Financial Center manager. Kulkriwes will manage the company's offices at the Downtown Lexington Financial Center at the corner of Rose and Main Streets.
Sonia Boniface has joined Women Leading Kentucky as an executive assistant, and the organization has also moved to new offices on the 4th floor of the Downtown Public Library.
Brittany Taylor, an interior designer with the firm of Cathy Burgess Interiors, recently passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination.

Keeneland Association has been named the winner of the 2009 Simulcast Award at the 17th
annual International Simulcasting Conference in Saratoga Springs, New York. Keeneland also won the award, which honors the horse racing industry's best simulcast production, in 2003 and 2008. Keeneland's latest award was for its coverage of the Vinery Madison (G1) from April.
Cathy Burgess Interiors has been awarded the Cornelius A. Hubbach design award from the American Society of Interior Design for its design of the lobby of theUnited Bank at 2509 Sir Barton Way in Hamburg Place.
Folksinger Michael Johnathon will be honored with the 2009 Bluegrass Tomorrow Vision Award on Friday, Oct. 30, in recognition of his contribution to the regional, statewide and national music community, the WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, the Troubadour Concert Series, the PBS broadcast of "Walden: The Ballad of Thoreau" and his latest effort, the "Caney Creek" motion picture.
