William P. Emrick has joined the Lexington office of Ferreri & Fogle, PLLC. Emrick formerly served as the executive director of the Office of Workers' Claims for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and he will be representing insurance carriers and self-insureds on matters related to general liability and workers' compensation claims.

Blood-Horse Publications has announced that Eric Mitchell has been appointed editorial director of The Blood-Horse business unit. Evan Hammonds has been named as editor of BloodHorse.com, and Scot Gillies will serve as editor of Professional Products for the company.
Fifth Third Bank has announced that Andrea George and Cara Endicott have been promoted to assistant vice president, and Josh Slattery has been named a vice president of the bank. Jim Baldridge joined the company as a vice president, wealth management, and Mathew Hulberg has been appointed to the retail position responsible for membership banking.
Major Joe Monroe has been named as the permanent University of Kentucky Chief of Police, following a three-year tenure as the department's senior officer. Having started his career with UK Police in 1994 as a patrol office, Monroe is the first UK police chief to have progressed through the ranks of the department.

Roger W. Parry, board chair of ITNBluegrass, has been elected a member of the ITNAmerica Board of Directors in Portland, Maine. Until recently, Parry served as interim administrator of Cambridge Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington. ITNAmerica is the first and only national, non-profit transportation network for the aging population. ITNBluegrass is an ITN affiliate and currently serves all of Fayette County.
