Lexington, KY – Guthrie/Mayes Public Relations has appointed N. Gregory Pettit Managing Director of its Lexington office.

Pettit, who grew up in Lexington, has been an independent communications counselor in both Lexington and New York City and has held senior executive positions at global communications firms including Hill & Knowlton, Weber Shandwick and Edelman. His clients have included Fortune 100 companies, governments, associations and venture-backed start-ups.

Pettit’s work for clients has garnered recognition at the national level, including awards from the PRSA, PRWeek and the Holmes Report’s Sabre Awards. His expertise comes from work across multiple industries, including healthcare, technology, retail, industrial, energy, financial services and real estate. He received a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Columbia University.
