Jeff Anderson has joined Meridian-Chiles as vice president of sales. Anderson most recently served as vice president of advertising for the Lexington Herald-Leader.
The Blue Grass Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has appointed James “Chip” Armishaw as scout executive and CEO. Armishaw most recently served as the chief operating officer at the BSA’s Last Frontier Council in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Tim Campbell has joined Group CJ as leader of the marketing firm’s digital division. He previously served as president of Lexington-based iHigh.
Craig King has been appointed president of R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC, in Nicholasville, Ky. King most recently served as regional vice president, transportation-north, at CSX.
Michelle Lynch has been named as Georgetown College’s new vice president for enrollment management. She most recently worked at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., where she was director of recruitment.

Hospice of the Bluegrass has announced the following board officers for 2013: Woodford Webb, the Webb Companies, as chair; Mark Nabity, Grayhawk, LLC, as vice chair; Jen Shah, Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC, as treasurer; and Eric Frankl, Blue Grass Airport, as secretary.

Chris Eddie and Chuck Creacy, co-founders and owners of Smiley Pete Publishing, were honored as winners of the 2013 Spirit Award, presented by the Lexington Forum at the organization’s annual State of the Merged Government Address. The award recognizes an individual or group that has made a meaningful change in the Bluegrass by giving back to the community through volunteerism. Smiley Pete Publishing is the parent company of Chevy Chaser, Southsider and Business Lexington magazines.
United Way of the Bluegrass has named Stites and Harbison, PLLC as the inaugural winner of the Raising the Bar award. The award is a new initiative created in support with the Fayette County Bar Association to honor Lexington-area law firms that “raise the bar” on their community outreach efforts. Stites and Harbison raised nearly $20,000 for the United Way campaign, with the highest participation per capita among all local law firms.
Swim Bike Run of Kentucky, located at 320 North Ashland Ave. in Lexington, has been named as one of the top 50 triathlon shops in United States by the online triathlon magazine Slowtwitch.
