Lexington, KY - The GoodGiving Guide Challenge, an online giving campaign to benefit more than 100 nonprofits in Fayette and its surrounding counties, is currently recruiting sponsors to support its upcoming third annual campaign.

The campaign, developed in partnership by parent company, Smiley Pete Publishing, and the Blue Grass Community Foundation, runs from November 1 through December 31. It is aimed at growing local giving by highlighting the work of local nonprofits and encouraging both new and repeat givers to donate to the cause of their choice at any amount. The campaign includes the distribution of print giving guides that profile the participating nonprofits through Smiley Pete publications, along with an online guide and web platform to accept charitable contributions.
Last year’s Good Giving Guide Challenge raised $586,000 for 68 nonprofits through 4,106 individual contributions of $10 or more, with the support of 34 business sponsors. Sponsors can sign on as challenge partners by hosting giving events at their businesses, in which a percentage of the proceeds raised will be contributed to the GoodGiving grand match pool. Sponsors are also needed to offer incentive prizes for donors based on their level of giving throughout the campaign and weekly challenge incentives based on set criteria for a specific week. In addition, businesses can provide grand prizes to be given away in a drawing at the end of the campaign.
