Lexington, KY – Alltech is rolling out a set of distinctly Kentucky events to go along with the National Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Starting Tuesday, the Kentucky Gathering will take place around the Alltech Arena at the Horse Park and include special events and activities aimed at families and fans of Kentucky’s craft brews and spirits in addition to Dine Lexington, a restaurant week coordinated by Alltech running through Sunday.
The week will feature Savor Kentucky, a craft beer and bourbon sampling event. Cost for Savor Kentucky, running Nov. 1 and 2, is $10 with hourly trolley service being offered for those wishing to attend to shuttle between the Horse Park and downtown until 11 each night.
The event will feature 25 bourbons and beer from Against the Grain Brewery and Smokehouse, Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co., Apocalypse Brew Works, Bluegrass Brewing Company Brewpubs, Bluegrass Brewing Company Production Brewery, Blue Stallion Brewing Co., Country Boy Brewing, Cumberland Brewery and Falls City Beer.
“Savor Kentucky will celebrate the depth of talent of our Commonwealth’s local food artisans, distillers and craft brewers,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech. “I’m excited to showcase the best of Kentucky’s food and drink before a national audience.”
Free parking will be available onsite for all events. The weekend trolleys will leave from the Fifth Third Bank Pavilion in downtown starting at 1 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
