Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer R. Monarch and Hamid H. Sheikh, Jr. have joined the firm’s Lexington office. Monarch is a member of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution service team, and Sheikh is a member of the real estate and lending service team.
Blue & Co., LLC has announced the addition of the following individuals to the organization’s Lexington office: Kristin G. Conway, staff accountant; Joseph C.Duruttya, staff accountant; and Nathaniel R. Murray, senior accountant.
John Lakes has joined Messer Construction Co. as a staff accountant in the Lexington office. David Momper has joined Messer as a layout engineer and Ashley Webb has joined the company as a project engineer. Both will be working in the Lexington region.
Kirby Ifland has joined Frost Brown Todd as a corporate lawyer and appellate litigator.
Aaron Bivens, senior manager at integrity/Architecture, PLLC (i/A) has been named as the company’s third principal and owner.
Attorney Matthew D. Ellison has become a member of Fowler Bell PLLC. He joined the firm’s litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights groups in 2005.
Brett Tinch has joined Fifth Third Bank as a mortgage loan originator.
A reorganization of the Eastern Kentucky University Development Office has resulted in several additions to the staff as well as position changes. New to the staff are: Carol Ford, Foundation Scholarship coordinator; and Kirk David Jr., Kristen Bennett and Chris Cannon, development officers. In new positions are: Kari Martin, executive director of development, and Johnna Whittamore, director of the Annual Fund. In addition, Jennifer Ott was named assistant director, alumni relations.

Central Bank has been named one of the “Best Banks to Work For” by American Banker and Best Companies Group. Banks were evaluated based on workplace policies, practices and demographics as well as employee surveys. Central was one of 35 banks achieving “Best Bank” status in 2013.
Republic Bank has been honored by the personal finance website GoBankingRates.com as one of the top 20 banks and credit unions across the country for significant community service in education. The website cited Republic’s partnership with the University of Kentucky to offer 20 four-year scholarships to high school students from the Kentucky counties included in the bank’s network.
