Lexington, Ky – Just a month after celebrating it’s eighth anniversary, the owners Thai Orchid have announced the South Broadway restaurant will shift to a full service version of their food truck, Thai & Mighty Noodle Bowls.
The switch, according to a press release from Thai Orchid owner Toa Green, will take place on Tuesday September 30. Some of the menu items will stay the same, though the restaurant will shift its focus to that of Thai inspired street food.
“A concept unlike anything else in Lexington, Thai & Mighty Noodle Bowls will bring the experience of the old world noodle cart to Lexington, with a modern twist,” the press release states.
The menu will feature traditional Thai noodle bowls, like a red curry noodle bowl and a basil beef noodle bowl, with a price point below $10.
Diners will be able choose from mobile, online or table ordering, as well as pickup and curbside service, with a delivery option planned.
“We hope this place will make it easy for guests to grab a quick, delicious meal on a busy day. It’s so exciting to bring our favorite sector of Thai food, Thai street food, to Lexington,” Green said in the release.
Together with her husband Mike, Green took ownership of Thai Orchid Cafe in 2011 and in 2013, launched Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream.
Thai & Mighty Noodle Bowls food truck came into existence at local events and corporate lunches around Lexington earlier this year.
“We’d like to thank our friends and customers for supporting Thai Orchid Cafe over the past eight years,” Green said. “We’re excited to enter the next stage of our restaurant’s journey and hope our friends will come along for the ride.”
