M. David Nichols has been named as the new editor for Business Lexington magazine.
Nichols is a veteran journalist with nearly two decades of experience. A native of Northwest Indiana and Indiana University graduate, he worked the majority of his career at The Chicago Tribune and the Associated Press. He replaces Erik Carlson, who had served as the monthly business journal’s editor in chief since May 2013.
“David will make a great addition to our team,” said Chuck Creacy, co-publisher of Smiley Pete Publishing, the company that produces Business Lexington. “He brings with him a lot of great experience from solid news organizations, and we are very lucky to have him provide his talents to our company and to our community.”
Nichols' wife is a Georgetown native, and they live with their two children on Lexington's south side.
