Mark Boison, Lexington market president for Fifth Third Bank
Mark Boison has been named to lead the Lexington market for Fifth Third Bank. He will replace Michael Ash, who will be moving into the role of president and CEO (Kentucky) for Fifth Third, a position currently held by Tom Partridge. Partridge, in turn, has been tapped to lead Equipment Finance Services, the commercial leasing arm of Fifth Third Bank, effective immediately.
Boison joined Fifth Third Bank in 2011. Prior to that, he had served as president of Forcht Bank and as a regional manager for JPMorgan Chase. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University, and he is also a graduate of the Wharton School for Business Executive Leadership.
Ash has also led the Commercial Banking division for the company, covering both the Lexington and Louisville markets. He has worked for Fifth Third for more than 12 years, serving for seven years as business banking executive for Fifth Third’s central Indiana market prior to his move to Kentucky. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree from Butler University.
Prior to leading the Kentucky affiliate, Partridge served as market president for Fifth Third Bank in northeastern Ohio. He has also served as executive vice president and manager of Commercial Banking in northeastern Ohio. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University and his master’s degree from Indiana University.
Fifth Third Bank’s Kentucky affiliate holds roughly $2.5 billion in assets. Based in Cincinnati,Ohio, Fifth Third Bancorp has approximately $140 billion in total assets and operates 15 affiliates with more than 1,300 full-service banking centers.
