The Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association (KPMA) will host its third annual Tank & Technical Conference in Lexington this week, with Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles scheduled to speak on statewide efforts to reduce credit card skimming at Kentucky’s gas pumps.
The association, which represents 150 member companies who own or supply more than 3,000 retail fueling facilities in Kentucky, will hold the conference at the Campbell House on Wednesday, November 2.
In addition to Commissioner Quarles’ luncheon address, the association will also announce a new statewide campaign highlighting the benefits of Bioheat, a two-percent to five-percent blend of biodiesel with traditional heating oil that is offered as an environmentally friendly option for home and business heating.
KPMA and the Kentucky Underground Storage Tank Branch will also present the 2016 Tank Excellence in Compliance (TEC) awards, recognizing outstandings underground tank owners in the state.
