Francisco's Farm Arts Festival is named for Colonel John Francisco, the original owner of the farm on which Midway is now situated. Since the annual event began in 2004, the fine art fair has won awards form the Kentucky Tourism Council and the Southeast Tourism Society. AmericanStyle Magazine has included the festival on its national "Top 10 Art Fairs and Festivals" list for the past four years.
Over a hundred artists from 16 states will be on hand, representing disciplines from jewelry, ceramics, metal, fiber, mixed media, glass and wood mediums, and more than a dozen musical acts will play throughout the weekend on the festival's two stages. Other special events, including demonstrations and children's activities, will be scheduled.
This year Francisco Farm Arts Festival will move from the campus of Midway College to Equus Run Vineyards, making its 35 acres a perfect setting for the fair.
Visit the fair's website for more information on volunteer opportunities, schedules, or to see a gallery from all participating artists.
