Hard Rock Ballet 2. Oct. 9, Courthouse Plaza. If you missed Hard Rock Ballet last season, you have to be there for Hard Rock Ballet 2. Part of the Spot-light Lexington Festival, this performance will include rock classics that are sure to rock your socks off.
The Haunted. Oct. 22 - 24, Downtown Arts Center. The Haunted is a new work by Artistic Director Luis Dominguez that explores supernatural stories collected from all over the world.
The Nutcracker. Dec. 10 - 19 (Fri - Sun.), Lexington Opera House. Based on the fairytale by E.T.A. Hoffman, this Nutcracker stays true to the original ballet that debuted in 1892. Combined with Tchaikovsky's rich score, "The Nutcracker" is one of the most beloved ballets of all time.
21st Century Ballet. Feb. 18 - 20, 2011, Downtown Arts Center. In the tradition of last season's sell-out "Koln Concert & Nonsense," the "21st Century Ballet" will be an evening of mixed repertoire including classical, neo-classical and modern dance.
Giselle. April 22-23, 2011, Lexington Opera House. The Lexington Ballet Company presents its first full-length storybook ballet. This beautiful story of a prince and peasant romance is sure to make any heart melt - the perfect ballet for all ages.
