A new Pilates studio on High Street will celebrate its grand opening the first week of August. Reform Pilates, co-owned by Wesley Rainey and Bryan and Allyson Lyster, will offer classes and individualized training for all fitness levels.
Reform Pilates is the second business venture for Rainey, who opened his personal training studio, LIFT Fitness & Wellness, in 2010. The timing was fortuitous when the building next door to LIFT became available. “When Bryan and Allyson approached me with the idea of opening a Pilates studio, I jumped at the opportunity,” Rainey said. “I knew Pilates was something I wanted my clients to experience and add to their daily fitness routine.”
The grand opening event, 4 - 7 p.m. Aug. 3, will feature cocktails and appetizers and allow a sneak peek of the new facility, as well as an opportunity to meet the owners and instructors. Everyone attending will be entered in a raffle with a chance to win a private Reform session.
Pilates veterans, Rainey says, will appreciate the one-on-one personalized training available and challenging classes.
“Our intent in opening Reform Pilates is to create a space where we can introduce the Pilates method of exercise to those new to it, and also give those that have practiced it for any length of time a new and exciting place to come,” he said. “Our philosophy at LIFT has been to help our clients reach their fitness goals safely and effectively, and Reform Pilates is an extension of our philosophy.
