A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a homicide/missing person investigation of missing Lexington man Alex Johnson initiated December 20, 2013, according to a release from Lexington Division of Police.
Alex Johnson has not been heard from since Dec. 20, when he was on the phone with his girlfriend from his home on North Hanover Avenue.
Robert Markum Taylor was arrested Jan. 22 on warrants, obtained by the Lexington Division of Police, by law enforcement authorities in Pharr, Texas. Taylor's extradition will be arranged by the Fayette County Sheriff's office. A murder arrest warrant was issued for Taylor on Jan. 21.
Earlier in the week police investigators charged Timothy Ballard with kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the case.
According to the release, Johnson was presumed to be missing until Jan. 21, when investigators determined that Johnson's disappearance was the result of a kidnapping and subsequent homicide.
