LexArts Inc. in association with Kroger, seek Central Kentucky artists interested in creating a large-scale outdoor and indoor murals in Lexington, KY. This artwork will create a visual landmark within the community. Our goal is to realize a public art mural by the end of October 2014. No entry fee. Artists with no prior mural experience will be considered. Likely three separate artists will be selected, one for each opportunity.
The project budget is $25,000 for the exterior mural, $10,000 for interior seating area and $8,000 for the produce department. Budget is inclusive of travel, research, design, execution, insurance, taxes, site preparation and materials.
