Ho Ho Hattan: A rich and spicy holiday Manhattan | Photo by Sarah Jane Sanders
The Manhattan has long been a classic. There have been variations over the years, but we wanted to make one that would both capture the season and speak of the places we think of when we think of home. The use of our Jean Farris Red Head wine replaces the sweet vermouth and adds spice notes and new dimensions to this classic drink that has all the charms of Kentucky. The wine holds many of the same characteristics as the vermouth, though it is different in a few fundamental ways. Because there are no botanicals infused into the wine, we reached to the Benedictine to add the complete elements and depth that we were looking for. This rich, spicy Manhattan is perfect to celebrate the holidays!
