Can math be beautiful, and can art be rational? Explore with Amadeus Lex some of the structures and symmetries of musical forms in multiple styles, from the magic of canonic imitation that has fascinated composers since the Middle Ages to the venerable Art of the Fugue by J.S. Bach. The event will also feature a jazzy and spirited string quartet Mathematica composed by Detroit Symphony cellist Dr. Jeremy Crosmer.
