Athens-West Theatre Co. presents “To Kill A Mockingbird”
AthensWest Theatre Company will open its first-ever season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic To Kill a Mockingbird – running November 20 through December 6 at the Downtown Arts Center.
To Kill a Mockingbird follows the coming of age of young tomboy Scout, as she learns valuable and difficult lessons about justice and honor in small-town, Depression-era Alabama. Her father, attorney Atticus Finch, is charged with defending a black man accused of assaulting a white woman. Can he possibly receive a fair trial when the community made up its mind about him long before the alleged crime ever took place?
