Chamber Music Festival of Lexington Mainstage Concert II
The 2016 Chamber Music Festival of Lexington will present 10 continuous days of events – traditional concerts, pop-up events, fundraisers, and more.
This Mainstage Concert will feature a world premiere written by Composer-in-Residence, Avner Dorman. A native of Israel, Dorman draws on a variety of cultural and historical influences in composing, resulting in music that affects an emotional impact while exploring new territories. Lexington Philharmonic premiered Dorman’s After Brahms in April. Other pieces being performed are Schubert’s Fantasie in C Major and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 2 in A Major.
