The Nest – Center for Women, Children & Families and presenting sponsor, The Groovalution, are presenting the inaugural NestFest, a benefit concert aimed at raising funds to support The Nest’s free community programming. The event will be set against the backdrop of the beautiful landscape of Equus Run Vineyards on Saturday, June 11th from 6-10 p.m.
The Groovalution's NestFest begins with the incredibly talented Jackson Alley Cats, followed by Ray’s Music Exchange, a popular local band often featured at Jeff Ruby’s who cover funk, rock, soul, country, roots, jazz and “any other tune that feels good.” Wrapping up the evening are The Sensations, a professionally trained and fabulously versatile dance band who have toured for 30 years, performed with numerous National recording stars, and “always bring the party!”
Equus Run Vineyards is nestled on 38 acres in the heart of central Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region and was voted by CNN Travel as a Must-See Hidden Treasure of the US. Amidst picturesque thoroughbred horse farms, historic stone fences, and the quaint charm of Midway, Kentucky, Equus Run is the perfect place to enjoy drinks, food, and live music from an outdoor amphitheater stage.
Tickets are $35 for people 12 years and up, and children under 12 are free. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting The Nest’s website at www.thenestlexington.org/event/nestfest.
The Nest and Equus Run ask that you please bring your own chairs or outdoor blankets, and small personal coolers and bags will be permitted. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at Equus Run Vineyards, and no other outside alcohol is allowed on-site.
