In his book, Henry Clay: The Man Who Would Be President, author Jim Klotter provides an answer to this historical puzzler: why someone as qualified and prepared as Clay could not win the presidency but would manage to become as important, or more so, than many in his time who did. The Henry Clay Memorial Foundation and the Blue Grass Trust will host a reception for Jim Klotter at the Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan House.  Jim will briefly introduce his book, then hold a Q & A and book signing.
