Guest speakers address the plight of refugees and the immigrant student experience. Featuring African music, Congolese and American food available beginning at 5 p.m., and the movie “I’m Lost” will premiere at 6:30 p.m. This fictional movie was filmed in Lexington and created by local Congolese refugees and immigrants. The money gathered will go to Empucate International for a partnering program with the Welcome New Americans Project to promote drug resistance and educational growth campaigns.
