Jovontaes/ Insect Policy/ Gift
JOVONTAES is a band. Since 2009, the band has consisted of Reid Small (always) on drums and occasional vocals, Mark Murray on guitar and electronics, and Josh Blaine on bass and home-modified electronics. They’ve been labeled everything from “skater kraut” to “skategaze” to “surf punk” to good ol’ fashioned “psych rock,” even “noise” at times, but choose not to identify with nor adhere to any of the above.
NSECT POLICY (Louisville, KY) Insect Policy consists of several Louisville musicians that typically play as collaborators or solo artists in the Louisville experimental scene, Brian Manley (ART-FM local music director, Juanita, The Smacks), Douglas Lucas (Mu; O O O; organizer of the Louisville Experimental Fest), Chris Martin (Dream Eye Color Wheel; Bookshelf; Thing Shape; Pet Eunuch) and Tyler Chanley (Snow Snake; owner of Modern Cult Records).
