Kentucky Ballet Theatre: Ballet Up Close and Personal
Ballet Up Close & Personal will feature classical pieces and contemporary flair, highlighting the company’s 12 professional dancers’ range and athleticism.
Neoclassical and contemporary works will compliment the true classical pieces, giving the audience a visually stunning range of repertoire. A large variety of music compliments thechoreography with classical sounds and Latin rhythms as well as ultra-contemporary bass.
A Season Kickoff Reception will follow the Saturday evening performance with food catered by Travinia, a meet-and-greet with the dancers and a gallery display of the ‘Urban Dancer’ Project. A new collaboration between KBT photographers and costumes by the students of UK College of Fine Arts’ Costume Department and the assistance of the Lexington Fashion Collaborative.
Performances Friday and Saturday, October 16 & 17 at 7 pm and Sunday, October 18 at 2 pm.
