Kevin Prater began his musical and instrumental legacy over 35 years ago. Kevin has toured with many legends of the Bluegrass Industry including Timmy Cline, Mark Phillips, Melvin Goins, Bluegrass Brothers and for twelve years with the James King Band. During his time 35 years career he has participated in many award winning projects and Nominated as “Banjo Player of the Year”. Kevin Prater’s success has allowed him to entertain fans around the world in 23 countries.
Now setting sail on his latest voyage with The Kevin Prater Band, in 2009. Kevin has surrounded himself with seasoned veterans of the Bluegrass Industry. On Guitar and vocals, Tom Timberlake, founding member of The KPB. Tom was the last Lonzo of “Lonzo & Oscar” on the Grand Ole Opry.
