The Lexignton Art League presents an opportunity for families of children of all ages to experience Here and Now: Selections from the Artist Archive together in an interactive way. Family Day will feature an art scavenger hunt, a weaving project, magnetic poetry, and a “moon sand” play station.
All activities are kid friendly and each project is inspired by the artwork in the gallery. This approach allows children to learn about the art displayed in an engaging way. Weaving projects are based off of artwork by Dobree Adams and Erin Eldred; the magnetic poetry activity is inspired by artist Derrick Meads’ beautiful hand-carved prayers, “During.”
Admission is free and light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
