
Lexington Philharmonic – Beyond The Score: Scheherazade
Fans new and old of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade will delight in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s program “Beyond the Score: Scheherazade,” a deep dive into Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s world of inspirations and the symphonic poem he composed in 1888, based on the classic “One Thousand One Nights” folk tale.
The show will feature actors, projected images, and excerpts from the score; following intermission, LexPhil performs “Scheherazade” in its entirety.
