Outside the Spotlight #185: Dave Rempis and Tim Daisy

Jazz Outside the Spotlight reaches its 185th performance on Saturday, October 31 with a free performance by the Dave Rempis and Tim Daisy duo. The show is at the Farish Theatre downtown, beginning at 6 p.m. with free admission ($5 suggested donation).

Rempis and Daisy are two musicians whose work has helped to define an entire generation of Chicago improvisers. Their impressive resume includes hundreds of concerts together with groups including Triage, The Engines, The Rempis Percussion Quartet, The Vandermark Five and countless other groupings. Beginning together in 1997, the duo has a long history together and capitalizes on their almost telepathic interactions during their performances.
