Families are invited to ride the tree-lined streets of the Greater Gardenside area on Saturday August 6 at 5:30pm. For a registration fee of $11, participants enjoy a bike-riding tour highlighting the Greater Gardenside area, followed by three delicious tacos from local taco vendors.
The ride is a 5-mile ride loop beginning and ending in Gardenside Shopping Center, 1801 Alexandria Drive, and is led on quiet streets by experienced cyclists. The route travels around several neighborhoods, including Gardenside, West Gardenside, Garden Springs, and Beaumont Park. If the distance is longer than a rider would like, shortcuts to the end point are identified. The event also includes shorter rides for families with younger kids.
