The Seer: A Portrait of Wendell Berry
Kentucky for Kentucky proudly presents THE SEER: A PORTRAIT OF WENDELL BERRY. THE SEER is a cinematic portrait of the changing landscapes and shifting values of rural America in the era of industrial agriculture, as seen through the mind’s eye of author and environmentalist Wendell Berry. The film is directed by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Laura Dunn, and is produced by Robert Redford, Terrence Malick, Jef Sewell, and Nick Offerman. The film features 95 photographs by James Baker Hall documenting Berry’s early adult life at his home in Henry County, Kentucky.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with writer/director/editor, Laura Dunn; co-director Jef Sewell; and The Berry Center’s director, Mary Berry. Morris A. Grubbs the Assistant Dean for UK’s Graduate School will moderate the discussion.
