The Travelin’ McCourys and Town Mountain on The Kentucky Ale Stage (Breeders’ Cup Festival)
Six straight nights of free national and local musicians will perform on the Kentucky Ale Stage downtown in Courthouse Plaza. Bands will play each evening beginning at dark and continue until 10pm.
Town Mountain is an acoustic and Bluegrass band that originated in Asheville, North Carolina. Members of the band include Phil Barker, Robert Greer, Jesse Langlais, Bobby Britt, and Adam Chaffins. Town Mountain has performed at MerleFest, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, the Targhee Bluegrass Festival, Rockygrass, Wintergrass, Suwanee Springfest and more.
The Travelin’ McCourys blends the sounds of Bluegrass and Acoustic with Steel and R&B. Musicians Ronnie McCoury, Rob McCoury, Jason Carter, and Alan Bartram make up the Nashville, Tennessee based band. The Travelin’ McCourys have performed with the Allman Brothers, Lee Boys, Phish, and Warren Haynes.
