The theatre arts and education based non-profit Voices Amplified announces their second annual pride musical, "Head Over Heels." The area premiere of this high energy energy show will be performed at The Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center to kick off not only summer, but Pride Month.
Set to the music of the iconic 1980’s band The Go-Go’s, "Head Over Heels" is a hilarious, exuberant celebration of love. The musical follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts. The character’s journeys center on equity, inclusion, self discovery, and acceptance.
Directed by Sullivan Canaday White, with Music Direction by Brittany Benningfield, and Choreography by Diana Evans Pulliam.The Head Over Heels cast features Rebecca Keith with David Lin, Haley Baldwin, Nick Vannoy, Patrick Lee Lucas, Ronald Wilbur, Vanessa Becker Weig, Vivien Kurtz and Audra Jones, Brooke Jackson, Charlotte Stephens, Cricket Brown, Jacob Ernst, Jenna Johnson, Kenny Demus and Luc Vandenbroek.
