Wine Night: Spanish Reds
Lexington’s third annual ‘Wine Night’ is an epic game of wine supremacy and competitive wine-tasting event benefiting Step By Step. Form an ‘equipo’ (a team of 3-4). Purchase tickets. Show up. Bring wine. Taste wine. Vote on wine. Taste more wine. Have a blast. Taste more wine. Party. Win wine (Maybe). Take back the Wine Night Trophy.
FORM AN ‘EQUIPO’
All you need is an ‘equipo’ or team of four people! Four people that love drinking wine. And since you’re reading this, you really only need 3 more. So… call, text, tag, tweet and email your friends! Especially those wine snobs in your life. You’ll also need to come up with a fun team name too – have fun and good luck.
BRING WINE
Each team member needs to purchase a ticket and bring a bottle of the SAME wine (eg. varietal: Tempranillo and brand: Monte Real) as the other members of their team. All bottles of wine must be a Spanish Red (Garnacha, Monastrell, Tempranillo etc.).
TASTE & VOTE
The wine will be spread across tables and disguised in paper bags (fancy!). You’ll be able to hang with your team and fellow wine-lovers, vote for your favorite wines and organizers will take care of the rest. Winners will be announced at the end of the night. Last year’s winning team took home LOTS OF WINE.
