WRFL Presents Girlpool at Al’s Bar on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016. This ALL AGES event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is recommended – click here to reserve.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Girlpool is a Philadelphia-based two piece made up of Cleo Tucker (Guitar) and Harmony Tividad (Bass). Their sound is raw, comprised only of a guitar, bass and vocal harmonies. Cleo and Harmony use this stripped-down instrumentation to accentuate their vulnerable yet powerful lyrics. Their debut LP Before The World Was Big explores the concepts of growth, friendship, and the interaction between identity and environment. Girlpool has received acclaim from NPR, The New York Times, SPIN, Pitchfork.com, and more. Bobby T. (Los Angeles), hoe garden (Louisville), and Elvess and the Dream Boy (Danville) will also perform.
Doors at 8 PM; Show begins promptly at 9 PM.
