In the elaborate burrito bracket featured on Nate Silver’s “Five Thirty-Eight” blog in 2014, Ramirez’ carne asada burrito was named Best Burrito in the South by a “landslide” – and in fact only missed Best in the Nation by one point. This alone should be enough of a reason to head to this authentic hole-in-the-wall Cardinal Valley eatery. Granted, it’s not much to look at, but grab a Jarritos soda out of the case, eat a great burrito and grab a stack of warm tortillas to take home on your way out. You’ll be glad you did.
