Classics never go out of style, and a Whiskey Sour made from scratch might just be the ultimate classic. Four ingredients, a shaker and a cocktail glass bring the satisfaction of a simple but luxurious drink. Prepared with an egg white, the drink is elevated to include a silky and frothy texture. This gem is sure to become one of your simple pleasures.
Ingredients:

• 2 ounces bourbon
• 1 ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 egg white
Method:
Pour ingredients into cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds; strain into a chilled cocktail glass. If you prefer your sour on ice, pour into an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass. A cherry or orange garnish is optional.
Note: If you prefer to not consume raw egg whites, the ingredient can be omitted and drink should be shaken a little less — but be prepared to sacrifice a bit of that silky-smooth froth. ss
